Switching off automated responses to unexpected messages from the patient

Under the “General Details” tab of “edit patient” Florence allows you to suppress replies to unexpected messages. While you would not activate this for the majority of patients, for some groups it allows you restrict Florence’s interactions purely to the scheduled services only. Florence tries to be helpful and will respond 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, even if only to say, “Sorry, I didn’t understand that, please try again”. Checking the “don’t reply to unexpected messages” will stop Florence from sending these messages.
